Coffee
ice cream is a delicious treat on its own and a fantastic ingredient for coffee
milkshakes, coffee cocktails and ice cream sundaes. This is how I make it. I
hope you will like it.
INGREDIENTS
- 18 ounces of water
- 200 g of caster sugar
- 18 ml heavy cream
- 18 ml milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 4 g of Nescafe instant coffee kind
- 1.5 ml coffee
- Heat a saucepan of water to a water bath.
- Make syrup with water and sugar in another pan.
- Pour the syrup into a bowl from the water bath. Add cream, milk and mix well.
- Add egg yolks and granulated instant coffee.
- Mix until everything is dissolved.
- Put the bowl over the simmering water and start the water bath.
- Stir constantly until the cream thickens and sticks to the back of a spoon, about 10 minutes.
- Sift and stir in coffee.
- Refrigerate several hours.
- Put in ice cream maker and ice form as directed by your device.
