INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups blueberries (blueberries) frozen
- 1 cup sugar (fruit all depends if they are sweet enough)
- 2 lemon juice
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 and 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- frozen yogurt
HOW TO MAKE
- Place the blueberries, lemon juice, sugar, salt and cinnamon in a medium saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Simmer gently for about 5 minutes, until the fruit has created their own syrup and began to soften. Remove from heat and let cool.
- When the blueberries are cool (room temperature), transfer to a blinder (I leave some whole blueberries I think it will give more flavor to frozen yogurt).
- Mix yogurt and milk in a large bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Fold the mashed blueberries and mix until completely incorporated, add the blueberries whole mix and set aside.
- Pour the mixture into a container from the freezer and freeze for about 45 minutes.
- Remove from freezer and, using a whisk or a fork, stir from the edges and mix well until smooth.
- Put in the freezer for 30 minutes. Repeat this process every 30 minutes for up to two hours, taking care to whisk until smooth before putting it back in the freezer.
- Store in an airtight container and freeze until ready to serve.
